Italian guitarist Roberto Zorzi’s musical path is so rich and eclectic that it is impossible to include him in a particular musical genre. The initial love for visionary rock artists such as Robert Fripp and Brian Eno has been enriched over time by approaches, both free and unconventional, of Derek Bailey and other exponents of the English avant-garde of the seventies. The instrumental research (even electronic) has not closed itself in asphyxiating paths but has been able to include and transfigure the thousand suggestions of the twentieth century.
Four Corners Make a Circle is literally that: a musical circle tying together four friends and colleagues in distant locations, each bringing their own distinct sonic personalities to the mix. In this album ,they explore the covid lockdown experience of 2020 and how to find in it, a source of creative energy, musical expression, and sonic
companionship.
