山本精一 Seiichi Yamamoto. (b.1958. Amagasaki,Hyogo) http://www.japanimprov.com/syamamoto/ Since the late '80s, he has been active as an amazingly versatile musician, mainly in the Osaka area. Leading and participating in numerous bands and projects, he has demonstrated the great diversity of his musical styles--from rock, folk, and punk to improvisation and noise. Among many others, he formed the avant-rock band Omoide Hatoba in 1987; Rashinban, featuring his vocals, around 1988; the punk band Akabushi in 1993; and the noise duo Ontoko with K.K. Null in 1999. The various bands of which Yamamoto is a member include Boredoms, Novo Tono, Rovo, and Most.
大友良英 Otomo Yoshihide. (b.1959. Yokohama,Kanagawa) https://otomoyoshihide.com/en/ is a guitarist, turntable player, composer and producer. He always leads plural bands such as ONJO and Anode, and has participated in many bands such as Filament and Joy Heights. Not only in Japan but also in different parts in the world, he has been active in performing concerts and recording, maintaining his independent stance. In the fields of experimental music, improvisation, and noise music in particular, he is highly appreciated in the West. The style of his music is wide-ranged from roaring sound with abundant noise and feedback, spontaneous works that focus on generation of sound itself, to recent works of jazz, song, and film music.
